Blackpink is a popular Korean band emerged since 2016 comprises of four members including Jennie, Rose, Jisoo and Lisa. They hit the recent headlines for not attending the Grammys 2025 that was scheduled on the 3rd of February 2025. This year the organizers of the award show had distributed the profits to the sufferers of the wildfires in L.A. The award show was one of the most prestigious show recognizing the talents and achievements of the renowned personalities in the Hollywood aisle. The award show earlier also has recognized many popular categories out of which one category that remains constant is music genre. Among the wide nominees the popular Blackpink didn’t make it to the list in spite of their solo releases during the span the nomination was considered. Talking about the span, it continued from Sept 16 2023 and lasted till August 2024. During this more than one year time span all the members of the group released their singles like Lisa released Rockstar, New woman however still couldn’t make it to the list. Making her first public statement she explains how after pitching for her songs for the nominations were overlooked.
As none of their singles attained nominations this year they decided to skip the Grammys 2025. They also mentioned how they wish to make a powerful comeback with banger albums and make everyone and of course themselves proud of their achievements. While talking for the Elle magazine, Lisa spoke about her excitement of working with Jennie, Rose and Jisoo in an album. The previous year long they didn’t grab the opportunity to create an album leading to them missing out on possible reunions. Extending her statement she added how the relationship dynamic among the four has changed with time. They no longer actively communicate in the chats and how they have been focused on their respective careers.

We all missed watching Blackpink at the Grammys 2025 however we are keeping high-hopes to see them at the Grammys 2026.
