La Tomatina, the most popular food fight festival of Spain makes its mark every year in the last week of August since 1945. The festival had its origin when a group of youths engaged over a fight with the rivals marching in the parade. During the fight between the two entities one amongst them fell down. Fire-trucks are hired by the authorities to leverage the water supply from the Roman aqueduct.The water canon washes away the residue by revamping the town to its normal state.
